What is Botox (Dysport and Xeomin)?

Botox (Dysport & Xeomin) are all related prescription injectable medicines (i.e. varietals of purified botulinum toxin type A) used to temporarily relax (or weaken) certain targeted muscles. Depending upon the muscles targeted a variety of desired therapeutic effects can result. Repeated contraction (use) of undersurface face and neck muscles (in combination with a variety of other factors) causes overlying face and neck wrinkles, lines and bands, which eventually become visible at rest over time. Relaxing those responsible underlying face / neck muscles with tiny injections of small amounts of Las Vegas Botox eliminates, reduces or prevents
many face and neck wrinkles, lines and bands.

Las Vegas Botox (Dysport & Xeomin) also reduce sweating; but, by blocking the nervous stimulation of your sweat glands.

What are the differences between Botox, Dysport and Xeomin?

All three are slightly different versions of botulinum toxin type A; Botox (ONAbotulinum toxin A), Dysport (ABObotulinum toxin A) and Xeomin (INCObotulinum toxin A. All are medications called biologics. Biologics are complex organic molecules derived from living organisms that are inherently unique, complicated to replicate and sensitive to the manufacturing process, thus, accounting for subtle differences. (Conventional drugs are generally formulated from chemical compounds.)
Both Botox and Dysport are stabilized with a protein envelope, while Xeomin is not. Therefore, Xeomin is a much smaller molecule and possibly, less likely to stimulate an antibody immune reaction. Antibody development may reduce duration and/or quality of response. In contrast, the smaller, “naked” Xeomin compound may be more quickly or easily degraded and not last as long. Hence, individual response and duration of effect varies. On another note, some observers have noted that Dyport diffuses or spreads out more readily and may possibly kick in slightly quicker than Botox within 1-2 days. Again, individual response varies. Also, each unit of Botox is equivalent to 2.5 to 3 units of Dysport; however, this is accounted for when using either product to achieve the desired effects. Whereas, Botox and Xeomin units are roughly equalivalent. That being said, the similarities between the products far exceed these subtle nuances and all 3 products are relatively equivalent
when injected by an experienced and knowledgable injector. Any notable difference in effect or duration might also be related to individual variation in response to one product vs. another.

Las Vegas Botox / Dysport / Xeomin Indications:

Botox is generally safe, effective, non-surgical, painless and without downtime. Looking younger and less wrinkled begins as early as 1-3 days, but may take up to 2 weeks; and lasts up to 3-6 months.

Side effects are unusual, temporary and not dangerous in cosmetic dosages. Side effects are related to unintended toxin spread to adjacent muscles, and any such unintended effects are transitory.
