Chemical Peels
Acne, scars, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, melasma (“mask of pregnancy”) and other skin ailments may be erased/reduced via one or more chemical peels, alone or in combination with other peels or procedures with a carefully selected, individualized program created by one of our award winning cosmetic dermatology providers or aestheticians, at Strimling Dermatology, Laser & Vein Institute of Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV.
Correction and/or improvement of the above conditions may be accomplished gradually via a series of superficial, no down-time to minimal down-time chemical peels; or more dramatically via a single medium or deep, medical or physician grade chemical peeling agent; however, also associated with several days or more of visible healing.
For more information about medium/deep chemical peels, download our (Medium/Deep) Chemical Peel Info/Instructions handout.
(Superficial & Medium/Deep) Chemical Peel options include:
- Glycolic Acid chemical peel
- Salicylic Acid chemical peel
- Trichloroacetic Acid chemical peels
- Acne, Melasma and Anti-aging Peels

Most patients and skin locations are acceptable candidates for chemical peels.
Chemical peel contraindications are few, but some include: active inflammatory or infected skin (at the proposed peel location), dark skin types (depending upon the peel type), and isotretinoin use within the last 6-12 months for medium depth chemical peels.
One or a series of 3 to 6 treatments may be recommended. After treatment, apply an SPF 30 or higher sunblock, especially if your skin is red, and use daily until any redness is gone.
Other recommendations may apply depending upon the type or depth of your chemical peel.
